Job Description
As a member of our Academic Skills team you will play a key role in the designing, planning and delivery of high-quality Mathematics and Statistical support to the Bath Spa University community.
About the Role
You will be required to provide high quality support (online and in-person) to students on a one-to-one basis or in workshops within our own programme or embedded within the curriculum. You will liaise with academic staff to ensure workshops align with module learning outcomes. You will also be required to complete administrative tasks related to the role and to make decisions related to learning development provision in the service manager’s absence.
About You
You will be enthusiastic and committed to providing a high quality, customer focused service to our staff and students. With a degree or equivalent you will have a good knowledge of fundamental and complex maths and statistical methods as well as sound knowledge of pedagogical principles. You will have excellent ICT skills and good knowledge of key statistics programmes. Self-motivated and able to work well within a team, you will work well under pressure and welcome change as our service responds to new opportunities. Reliable and flexible with an eye for detail, you will be committed to helping others get the most from our service.
