In this role, you will support the input into and execution of the Group Business Assurance strategy for the ongoing assurance of products and contracts within your area.
Additionally, you will support and enable risk mitigation and reduction in financial impact. You will be accountable for business engagement across a wide range of operational stakeholders.

You’ll have the following responsibilities
- Demonstrates a detailed understanding of one or more key product/contract areas and utilises business assurance knowledge to conduct/support 2nd line control coverage assessments, product end-to-end assessments, and risk and control reviews.
- Utilises understanding of process and system audits, along with commercial insight, to define and recommend new or amended appropriate coverage and controls, ensuring their execution.
- Conducts root cause analysis and root cause management at a large level, collaborating with Control Operations and Recovery teams.
- May be required to assist Specialists in managing third-party suppliers and interacting with auditors and regulatory authorities.
You’ll have the following skills & experience
- Business Assurance Knowledge: Possesses a strong foundation in business and revenue assurance concepts and methodology, including risk management, governance, compliance, and measuring process effectiveness.
- Data Discovery & Analysis: Expert in data analysis and problem-solving, with experience in data reconciliation and the ability to articulate the high-level commercial impact of complex assurance activities to senior stakeholders. Proficient in financial analysis, insights, and data management.
- Product & Business Knowledge: Demonstrates subject matter expertise and familiarity with a range of BT processes, systems, and product offerings.
- Engagement: Exhibits strong communication, influencing skills, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Hands-on experience in Microsoft package skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
- Desirable Skills: Familiarity with PL/SQL, BQF LP+, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus.
