We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated member of staff to work with us as a lecturer on a supply basis.
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a suitably skilled and qualified tutor to work with our current Epidemiology and Surveillance of Healthcare Acquired Infections module leader. This module is a core module for the MSc Infection Prevention and Control (uhi.ac.uk) and is delivered entirely online. The role will involve double marking scripts, supporting discussion boards and participating in setting assessment questions. It is particularly suited to a healthcare professional who wishes to become involved in education. You will still be employed by your main employer who will release you for two hours per week over the twelve weeks that the module runs per academic year.

Essential Criteria:
Relevant Masters degree from a higher education institution in the UK (or equivalent from outside the UK), or above.
Knowledge, understanding and skills to interpret current relevant experience in epidemiology and transfer this to the Learner.
Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with module leader to share marking and tutoring workload.
Ability to appropriately utilise ICT applications to support a blended learning approach to education.
Ability to work to deadlines whilst ensuring that all work is of a professional standard.
You do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply, however some experience of instructing or teaching is welcome.
