Job description: NHS Grampian is looking to recruit a Band 5 Occupational Therapist in the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team, within Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership (Central) based in Inverurie. We are looking for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our established team.

We are now also accepting applications from final year Occupational Therapy students due to qualify in summer 2024 (awaiting HCPC registration).

This is an exciting post working with older adults (aged over 65) with both functional and organic mental illness. The post holder will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team and Senior Occupational Therapist. The role will entail carrying out specialised Occupational Therapy assessment and providing a range of interventions in a community setting.

We are excited to be involved in shaping and improving the service and experience of service users and further developing multi-professional approach to maintain meaningful skills for our community patients.

A full induction programme with be offered, with opportunity to complete the Preceptorship programme and be part of a MH&LD band 5 development group. Regular supervision and support will be provided as will the opportunity to self-develop through the use of an annual development review and a personal development plans.

A history of, or interest in working within this field of mental health would be advantageous. A driving licence and access to a car is required for this post. Flexible working, including evening and weekend work may be required to meet service demands.

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates
