Data Intelligence Analyst (Master Data) – Year in Industry
The Data Intelligence Analyst (Master Data) role (a Year in Industry placement) centres around supporting our Master Data team as well as our acquisition companies with their data, intelligence and system usage. As a company we continue to grow but along with this so does the data we need to maintain and understand. To maintain and understand this data we need input from our colleagues at these companies.
This role will cover everything from the creation of reports, enhancing data, identifying problems, finding creative solutions and supporting users with system/data usage. The role also offers a variety of opportunities to gain new skills across the business and develop future skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate looking for a placement during their studies.
The role:
- Reporting and Analysis. Creating and using a variety of reports to support the activities included in this role. The data reported on will include sales data and lead performance. These reports will be produced in our CRM system, our SAP system and via Microsoft Power BI.
- Utilising Microsoft PowerApps. Developing our usage of this tool and maintaining and improving existing tools. This role will be one of the key users and knowledge sources for this software.
- Master Data Support. Working side by side with our Master Data Analyst on both Atlas Copco data and any acquisition data project to ensure high levels of quality and ease of use when it enters our systems. This will also include promotion/creation of Customer Accounts supporting the Master Data (Customer) Analyst.
- Customer Data Management. Identifying issues that may be occurring with customer data in our CRM system and assisting in providing solutions to prevent future issues and improving existing processes.
- Lead Generation. Collaborating with various colleagues (locally and globally) to improve and increase the leads for the sales team through our automated lead generation process. Analysis of these leads performance locally will be key to ensuring future success.
- Data Enhancement. Enhancing current data particularly focused around leads and contact information and updating this information via our CRM platform for use by marketing and sales.
- CRM System Support. By working alongside our CRM specialist to support the acquisition users on using the CRM system, this role will play a key part in supporting these employees in using our systems and processes.
- CRM System and Customer projects. Supporting the CRM team with the upkeep of the system, ensuring that our customer/prospect data is as accurate as possible. Other projects will also stem from this work.
- Working As a Key Member of the Team. Supporting colleagues with immediate and wider team; completing tasks and providing essential job cover when required including phone cover, live chat and e-commerce.
To succeed, you will need:
- Ideally undertaking an undergraduate degree involving one of the following areas: Business, Economics, IT/Computing or Statistics though other degrees will be considered.
- Have a high level of analytical skill and enjoy working with data. This will include being able to understand the data and determine options on how to use this data – this will be key to succeeding in this role.
- Have at least an intermediate level skillset of working with a number of computing applications essentially Microsoft Excel but also a good knowledge on the other Microsoft Office applications. Any other system history is desirable but not essential.
- Have good communication skills through various methods including verbally and written as well as strong presentation skills as potential meetings with members of the management team will occur.
- Able to understand and work with many different processes and be able to identify possible improvements.
- Be able to work well and effectively in a team as this role will involve working alongside colleagues in the wider organisation.
- Be proactive thinking with a determination to succeed.
