What we’re looking for…

AG Barr are looking for a Business Performance Manager to join their Group Finance team on a Fixed Term Contract for a minimum of 15 months. The AG Barr business has grown significantly in recent years, both organically and through acquisition. The Group’s financial performance has never been more important and the Group Business Performance Manager role is key to delivering timely, accurate and insightful financial information which both explains and drives business performance.

Your responsibilities will include…

As Group Business Performance Manager your responsibilities will include;

  • Own the month-end process ensuring that all internal reporting deadlines are met, lead monthly review meetings with wider finance team and provide appropriate analysis and reporting to Senior Management/Board
  • Continuous development of monthly Board and senior management reporting packs, highlighting business performance and making these packs more insightful and relevant for decision making
  • Lead 3 year forecast / scenario-based financial modelling activity to support Leadership team in the making of financial, commercial and strategic decisions
  • Lead monthly Group-wide KPI reporting including provision of detailed root-cause analysis and improving the quality, robustness and relevance of the Group level suite of KPIs
  • Draw reliable and timely financial and non-financial data and information together from a range of sources and provide thorough analysis, insights and options to enable the Leadership Team and Board to make effective business decisions
  • Assist the Finance Director in development of external market messaging and liaise with analysts accordingly
  • Develop and oversee the business-wide annual budget and reforecasting process including periodic reviews with functional owners.
  • Actively participate in business unit and/or business-wide programmes, initiatives and projects as required, designing and delivering ad hoc performance reporting and analytics
  • Managerial responsibility for Business Performance Finance Analyst (graduate role). Provide on-the-job coaching and feedback in addition to formal bi-annual appraisals and written performance reviews.

What you’ll bring…

The successful candidate will have;

  • ICAS qualified (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years PQE spent in industry, preferably within Consumer Goods
  • Substantial relevant commercial and / or management reporting experience, including exposure to senior business leaders
  • Highly developed analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to bring together diverse data and information and form sound judgments and insights
  • Commercial acumen with an ability to think strategically
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent grasp of financial statements
  • The role can be delivered by a person who works either 4 or 5 days a week
