Team Overview:
Situated in the Brooks Building on our Manchester campus, the School of Education comprises a diverse team of professionals dedicated to fostering programs tailored for students aspiring to careers in teaching and engaging with youth and families both within and beyond traditional educational settings.
Our faculty boasts expertise spanning Initial Teacher Education across primary and secondary phases, Early Years and Childhood, Educational Psychology, and various educational degrees, alongside a spectrum of Post Graduate Masters programs.
Collaborative opportunities extend across faculties, enriching interdisciplinary connections. Manchester Met.’s School of Education enjoys a robust national and international standing, recognized for its research prowess, ranking 9th in Education research power according to the 2021 REF and within the top 150 in QS world Rankings.

Role Summary:
This role presents an exceptional leadership opportunity within the School of Education, focusing on bolstering our educational initiatives and contributing to portfolio leadership.
Responsibilities include project management, active engagement in educational discourse and community involvement, working closely with colleagues to refine course delivery and champion the school’s external engagement, driving innovative solutions and reinforcing our reputation for excellence in Education and Pedagogy.
The ideal candidate will actively contribute to the educational ethos of the school, nurturing connections within the faculty.
Candidate Profile:
We seek applications from dedicated, qualified, and experienced individuals with a background in Education and Pedagogy, possessing a strong grasp of initial teacher education. Candidates should demonstrate the knowledge and capability to enrich teaching within the School of Education, actively contributing to its academic mission.
