StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, and innovative students looking to join our Continual Improvement Team for the 2024 summer term.
As an intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.
Position Overview
As a Continuous Improvement Intern/Graduate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organisation’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in identifying, analysing, and implementing process improvements. You will work closely with our Continuous Improvement team to drive efficiency, enhance quality, and contribute to the overall success of our operation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
2.Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimisation.
3. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis to understand underlying issues affecting operational performance.
4. Solution Design: Work with the Continuous Improvement team to design and propose solutions for process optimisation.
5. Implementation Support: Assist in implementing and monitoring improvements, ensuring successful integration into daily operations.
6. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of processes, improvements, and key performance indicators.
7. Training and Communication: Support the development and delivery of training materials for process improvements. Communicate changes effectively to relevant stakeholders.
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (for graduates).
– Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (for interns)
– Six Sigma, or equivalent training/qualification
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
Scope of Work:
The Continuous Improvement Intern/Graduate will actively contribute to our organisation’s journey towards operational excellence. This role involves hands-on experience in analysing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and working collaboratively to implement changes. The intern/graduate will have the opportunity to engage with diverse teams and gain exposure to various aspects of continuous improvement methodologies.
This internship/graduate program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of continuous improvement principles and practices. The intern/graduate will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining valuable insights and skills that will contribute to their future success in the field of continuous improvement.
