Job Description

We are looking for an Automotive Quality Engineering Supervisor, to join our team in Luton.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Capturing quality related requirements and distributing within the team.
  • Supervising a team of Quality Technicians/ Engineers.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
  • Tracking vehicles for upcoming functional issues around electric/electronic vehicle components on the production or pre-production line to allow smooth on-time builds during all development phases.
  • Checking and analysing affected components and functionality for conformity to specifications, communicating and then developing solutions together with the quality development teams of the supplier, development teams of the OEM, and production management.
  • Performing quick-fixes such as updating vehicle software, fixing defect connections, repairing wire harnesses, and exchanging actuators or sensors.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting and following up on solutions and their efficiency, as well as evaluating and mitigating risks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supervising a team.
  • Professional experience in the development of automotive E/E components, well accustomed to flashing vehicle software.
  • Solid skills in vehicle diagnosis using logging tools that protocol the configurations of vehicles (e.g. CANanalyzer, DiagAlyzer) and in modifying Cal Files.
  • Very good understanding of complex technical concepts and their pros and cons and impacts to the product.
  • Skills in integration of vehicle components.
  • Basic experience in the vehicle development processes.
  • Very good communication and presentation skills to act as an interface between different parties.
  • Team player comfortable with working with a structure.
  • Ability to drive solutions and implement them together in a team.
