About the Role…
Our Group Finance Team is expanding, and we are looking for an FP&A Project & Systems Lead to join us! In this role, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of a Planning Tool and its synergies with the wider data and analytics work streams, from an FP&A perspective.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this role is suited to an experienced finance professional that has experience developing planning and analytics tools and understands both financial performance and has experience with OLAP, SQL and/or similar technologies – this is an interim 12 months fixed term contract based at our Waterside Offices in Blackburn.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take the lead in delivery of the planning project ensuring business engagement and technical alignment are the main focus
- Work closely with IT, Business Intelligence and project management teams
- Develop business planning and reporting processes with the wider commercial finance team members focussing on key drivers and macro assumptions
- Ensure reconciliation of data with core systems at a site and GL level
- Ensure all process and decisions are documented sufficiently and have relevant approval
- Continually review published FP&A best practice to support the evolution of EG FP&A

Candidate Requirements
- Professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or QBE
- Experienced in implementing planning systems
- Experience in a system developer/ system implementation role with an understanding of the technology and tools
- Proficient is all Microsoft Packages
