Job description: Gap personnel is Recruiting for a Compliance Manager position on behalf of our client, located in southend.

This role involves serving as the main point of contact for certification and regulatory body approvals, audits, and inspections.

Permanent, Full-Time, 39 Hours:

Mon – Thurs: 8:00 – 17:00 (30 mins lunch) Fri: 8:00 – 13:00 (no lunch)

Salary £40,000 DOE

  • Report on management system performance to the Group Compliance Manager.
  • Identify and communicate relevant compliance requirements to the business.
  • Ensure functional audit compliance with business management system processes.
  • Generate performance metric reports for the business management system by function (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Identify and manage closure of functional corrective actions.
  • Conduct management system audits and document findings.
  • Document and maintain management systems and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvements and learning.
  • Conduct required risk assessment activities for the business.
  • Provide applicable staff with information on the organization’s performance and future plans through formal briefings and reviews.
  • Adhere to internal control systems and authorities, leading by example and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and organizational standards and policies, including health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure the organization operates lawfully and ethically.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility in all business activities.
  • Perform any other reasonable and relevant tasks as required.

Skills/Experience:

  • Holds qualifications in Compliance Assurance ✔
  • Possesses industry-recognized qualifications for management systems ✔
  • Extensive experience working in the aviation industry ✔
  • Demonstrated experience in a compliance (or comparable) role ✔
  • Supervisory and/or managerial experience ✔
  • In-depth knowledge of Management Systems, including standards relevant to the function ✔
  • Proficiency in the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite ✔
  • Ability to adapt to change ✔
  • Holds a full, clean UK driving license ✔
  • Capable of working independently while collaborating in a team environment ✔
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines ✔
