About the Role:
The Strategy team is pivotal in shaping the direction of our technology division. We assess technologies, organizational structures, and support activities, requiring clarity of thought, problem-solving, and a robust, data-driven analytical approach.
Accountabilities:
Strategic Projects & Problem Solving:
- Identify and prioritize problems within Ocado Technology, drawing from diverse sources.
- Develop business cases and recommendations through research, stakeholder consultation, and quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Project manage strategic initiatives for Senior Leadership, collaborating with support functions for successful project delivery.
- Present project progress in structured, coherent, high-quality presentations.
Technology Governance and Ways of Working:
- Prepare materials for governance meetings, assisting in their execution and continuously improving Senior Leadership Team practices.
- Maintain key business processes, such as the annual budget process.
- Organize and facilitate various events, collaborating with other support functions for optimal ways of working.
- Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis to Senior Leadership, contributing to monthly management information packs.
About You (Experience We Seek):
Essential:
- Proven ability to creatively and practically solve a variety of problems.
- Excellent senior stakeholder management skills.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including Excel or Google Sheets.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
- Commercial mindset.
Desirable:
- Technology, Retail, and/or entrepreneurial experience.
- Evidence of curiosity, autonomy, and proactivity.
- Familiarity with financial modeling – basic understanding of financial statements, financial analysis, and accounting.
