Job description: We are looking to recruit a Financial Director to collaborate with the Managing Director and the wider Finance and Energy Solutions division.
Collaborate with Energy Solutions MD to develop a shared strategy for profit growth whilst continuing to drive productivity and reduce carbon.
Description
- Leadership of the financial support function to Energy Solutions covering all facets (Controllership/Governance/Compliance/FP & A/M & A) and divisions (Core, NAC, Islands, Heating Services, Aviation and Log Services)
- Drive profitable growth of HVO and other development fuels
- Work with the FBP’s to ensure there are strong controls and compliance in place in the Energy solutions department resulting in ‘no surprises’ or breaches of policy within the team
- Lead weekly forecasting process and articulate any variances to plan
- Provide robust and appropriate challenge to the commercial business to ensure Energy Solutions delivers on its growth aspirations and financial targets. Develop standardised KPI’s to support and drive growth
- Support collaboration across all bulk functions and drive engagement within the teams
- Support business in the delivery of the 3 year strategic plan and execution of double the profit, halve the carbon target by 2030
- Full ownership of the Bulk Fuels P&L, Budget and 3 Year Planning Cycle
- Development of risk framework and mitigation controls
- Full oversight of “risk vs reward” decisions in granting credit limits & payment terms
- Work with Finance Controller to ensure working capital levels are optimized and participate in regular Balance sheet review process
- Support in M&A and capital investment opportunities, identify potential targets for capital deployment and acquisition, produce models to appraise financial viability and lead Finance DD and integration workstreams
- Help facilitate a high-performance culture within Bulk Finance team both in terms of FBP team and wider finance base. Work with financial leadership to develop engagement strategies.
- Delivering on our safety first company initiatives
- Other ad hoc duties as required – this will include regular travel to depot network and other business units
Profile
- Graduate or equivalent experience
- CIMA or ACA qualified
- Extensive experience post qualification
- Exceptional analytical skills
