Morning and Evening Community Care Worker

Job Description

Job title: Morning and Evening Community Care Worker

Company: Home Instead Senior Care

Job description: Afternoon commitments?

Whether you are struggling to find work around the school pick up or have a four legged friend at home that you need to pop home to, we could have a great part-time opportunity which would allow you work while still being able to enjoy a spot of afternoon tea!

We are currently looking for some enthusiastic, kind-hearted individuals to join our fantastic team working mornings and evenings making a difference to the lives of our lovely clients living in the community.

Part of the global Home Instead network, our office was established in 2012 and our mission is to brighten the lives of people living in our community. We take pride in what we do and are one of only 4% of UK care providers to be rated CQC outstanding.

We offer:

  • £12.55ph (Double pay on Bank Holidays)
  • Paid Mileage
  • No Uniform
  • Alternate weekends off
  • Full training provided

You do not need any previous experience to become part of our Home Instead family, you just need to be a caring and positive person with a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable car.

Requirements:

· You must have a big heart (and a big smile)

· You must be able to think on your feet…it sometimes helps to be light on them too, some of our clients love a dance!

· A good pair of eyes are essential – Clients might need to borrow yours when theirs aren’t so good.

· You will need to be a good listener, a lifetime’s worth of stories need to be heard.

· You should be able find joy in the little moments in life, there’s nothing quite like a cuppa made “just right”

· Although we don’t wear uniforms (our clients prefer it this way), you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves for any household tasks that may need carrying out.

· Being a good timekeeper is crucial, you should arrive on time, take your time to listen, take time to understand and take time to care – we measure time in hours, and each one matters.

· A GCSE in history is definitely not something that’s required, but helping a client relive their memories by flicking through a photo album together will be sure to make their day.

· Lastly, you’ll need to bring lots of patience, along with a good sense of humour. We’re a social bunch at Home Instead who love getting together for regular training (and parties!) and we’ll always be there to support you no matter what.

If you tick some of these boxes, then a Care Professional job at Home Instead might tick yours.
