Job description: The children and Governors at Freehold Community Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join us as soon as possible. Freehold is a very popular school based in the heart of a strong and close-knit community with a firm commitment to prepare children for an ever-changing world.

We are looking for:

• A hardworking and conscientious Catering Assistant who can perform a variety of tasks associated with food production and service in the catering unit
• A person who can comply with all appropriate legal and the Trust’s catering company’s requirements to ensure a high standard of meals are prepared in a safe, hygienic and timely manner.
• A person who works well within a team

The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Permanent from: As soon as possible
Pay scale: FT Grade 1 SCP 1-4 (£22,183 – £23,114) pro rata
Working hours: 12 ½ hours per week, Mon – Fri 11am to 1.30pm, term time plus 3 days (193 days pa).
