Job description: SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and merchant of roofing and exterior products.
We are currently looking to recruit a Trade Counter Sales Assistant for our Roofing branch at Bishops Waltham who will provide first class customer service to all customers ‘over the counter,’ and undertake Sales Coordinator duties as and when required.
What does the role involve?
As Trade Counter Sales Assistant you will be the face of SIG and will be required to engage with customers both over the phone and in face to face. This is the ideal role for an outgoing and personable candidate who has the confidence to take customer orders and provide key product information to customers visiting our busy Trade Counter. Working closely with the team in the branch, you will help develop and maintain new sales opportunities, pro-actively targeting both new and existing customers. You’ll also input orders onto our system and maintain our sales records.
The successful candidate will require:
Ability to engage with customers and have some sales experience
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships and deliver good quality customer service
Experience in the construction industry, and ideally have product knowledge
Previous internal sales support experience would be great, as would sales order processing experience
Excellent communication skills
To be dynamic and motivated with excellent data accuracy and attention to detail
