Job description: Financial Accounting Analyst – Grimsby – up to £36,000

Chase & Holland are very excited to be working with one of Grimsby most prestigious companies in finding a Financial Accounting Analyst for a 6-9-month contract. This is a great opportunity in a well-respected and successful business. You will be responsible for financial accounting activities for retail business and to provide support for the wider business accounting function.

Financial Accounting Analyst Responsibilities:

• Maintain various financial records for retail business
• Responsible for retail business receipts control process.
• Accounting and invoicing to 3rd parties.
• Assist in month-end closing financial accounting entries for retail business.
• Journal preparation and entry.
• Completion of multiple balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with required timescales and company policy.
• Completion of various periodic internal and external (ONS) questionnaires.
• Assist in preparation of year end statutory accounts.
• Assistance with wider financial accounting team responsibilities when required and undertaking ad-hoc accounting projects and special reviews as requested

Required Skills & Experience:

• Later stages PQ or qualified accountant with strong financial reporting and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• IT skills – strong Excel and ERP systems (SAP experience desirable)
• Experience with intercompany management and reconciliations
• Ability to commit to a 6-9-month temporary assignment
