We opened The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery in May 2023 and have reset the clock within this historic building, bringing it back to life. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD AND BEVERAGE TEAM MEMBER AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL

What you’ll be doing…

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be based at the hotel on an hourly basis up to 40 hours per week (variety of shifts available).

You can expect your working day to include the following;

  • Take ownership for your part of the guest journey and their memorable experience within the hotel.
  • To converse with the guests from the heart, being reactive to requests, taking and delivering food orders and anticipating their needs.
  • Deliver impeccable personable service, making Palm Court, The Botanic Tea Room and the Seaforth Restaurant THE place to be seen!
  • Be conversant with all of our tantalising cocktails, beverages and food menus
  • To be a team player, building collaborative relationships with the Kitchen and Bar teams for a seamfree operation
  • Accept payments and balance receipts

To succeed in the role of Food and Beverage Team Member, you will need the following qualities and skills.

  • A charming personable manner, care and attention to detail
  • A naturally efforvescent and heartfelt communicator who can build excellent rapport with our guests and deliver outstanding service
  • Knowledge of working within a food and beverage operation in a hotel or restaurant is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits and cocktails
  • Flexibility to work across varied shift patterns
