Job description: Product Owner needed to join our team on a contract basis. As one of our Lead Digital Product Owners you’ll play a key role to maximise the value the product team creates by defining the roadmap, priorities and business outcomes. You will take a lead role in the Digital Product practice, managing Product Owners and developing the agile methodology within one of our leading clients.
What you’ll be doing:
Discovery
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product, ensuring that ideation ladders up to the strategic goals of the business, and support adapting priorities as the business progresses.
- Represent the voice of the customer, ensuring the customer experience is frictionless across channels.
- Own the product roadmap and ensure it aligns product roadmap to strategic goals: both in the immediate and longer term.
- Determine scope of change and the iterations to unlock greatest customer value
- Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
- Understand and challenge perceived customer value in order to prioritise effectively and ensure we focus on the changes that will deliver maximum value align to our strategy
Planning
- Play an active role leading up to and during PI planning meeting to ensure the quarterly plans align to strategic goals, and the event I ran well to ensure the investment spent on time is fully realised and strong plans are formed for quarter ahead.
- Solve product-related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments
Release and Processes
- Identify areas of the agile process that require refinement and look for opportunities to continuously improve the E2E process working closely with our senior release and engineering teams.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
- Contribute to release meetings and prioritise which candidates will be delivered across value streams and Programmes & Projects. Ensuring a pragmatic and profession approach to decision making is maintained, maximising value out of each and every release whilst maintaining the delivery cadence.
People
- Line management responsibilities, including conducting 121s, half yearly and yearly reviews.
- Lead and mentor members of the product practice, to create high performing, self-organising teams Leading from the front ensuring that Product Owners are empowered to make decisions and support progression to grow Product Practice
Benefits
- Track and report on benefits realisation versus key objectives and forecasts. Including working with proposition owners and finance BPs, reviewing monthly to ensure the IB submissions and drawdowns are accurate throughout the year.
- Draft key objectives and results, strategies and apply the data for the product to make business decisions.
- Ensure your team develop and maintain an appropriately prioritised backlog of user stories for implementation, with a laser focus on benefits realisation, both ££ and NPS.
- Support broader CX Teams in hitting the Digital NPS ambition by ensuring that both monetary value and customer experience value is unlocked through feature development
What we want from you:
- Excellent knowledge of agile scrum methodology and practices
- Proven ability to lead and create high performing teams in an ever changing environment, ensuring engagement remains high.
- Senior stakeholder management, ability to clearly and concisely communicate plans and ideas, including when there may be a difference of opinion on priorities and benefit.
- Excellent level of understanding of technical terminology and preferably experience of working in a technical/e-commerce environment
- Excellent understanding of software development practices and web/mobile technologies
- Demonstrable ability to take ownership and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive in problem solving and ensuring the right people are involved in decision making
- Able to facilitate meeting (e.g. lead workshops to elicit requirements) within business and technical teams
- Act as a liaison between the business stakeholders and technical delivery teams translating concepts into language that is easily understood by both parties
- Strong communication skills with business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong team working and collaboration skills within scrum team

- Experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud plus other ecommerce platforms
