Job description: On behalf of our client, a distributor and provider of logistics and supply chain services to the aerospace industry, Line Up Aviation are seeking applicants for a permanent Sales Executive role based in Derbyshire.The ideal candidate will have sales experience gained from within the aerospace parts industry and will be able to demonstrate a drive and desire to succeed in this industry.
You will manage and develop multiple customers, working to targets selling materials and optimising revenue performance and profitability.To be successful in your application you must be able to demonstrate a high degree of working knowledge of all MS Office applications, you should be an advanced Excel worker as you’ll be working with BI tools such as Qlik.Role: Sales Executive (Aerospace Components)
Location: Derby or Esher, Surrey office (hybrid working can be considered. 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH).
Salary: c. £40,000 (plus comprehensive benefits package)Main responsibilities:

  • Manage requests for quotations (RFQ) by analysing requirements and verifying the availability of stock, the existence of potential purchasing contracts and previous requests sent to suppliers for the purchase of a specific item.
  • Prepare the offer to the customer based upon the best supply source, price per unit and lead time.
  • Perform RFQ follow-up activities such as dealing with emails, making calls, videoconferences, and visits.
  • Support Senior Sales Executives, Account Managers and Sales & Customer Service Manager during customers visits.
  • Monitor and manage, on a daily basis, the assigned targets/KPIs (Sales, Margin, Bookings, OTIF %, Order Book, etc.) through the BI tool (i.e. Qlik) and put corrective actions in place to ensure the profitability of the BU is achieved.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • A Level education or equivalent. Degree or Master’s is a plus.
  • An understanding of technical components /engineering /quality standards as you will be involved in the revision of product technical specifications.
  • Target monitoring through BI tools.
  • Market knowledge.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English. Knowledge of a second language would be advantageous.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Expertise in the use of SAP.
  • Proactive “do-er”.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate.
  • Driven by targets.
  • Accuracy in all work undertaken.
