🚀 The Role
As a third-party observer, envision a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge Advanced Driver Assistance Systems software for automotive applications. The ADAS Software Architect plays a crucial role in creating software architectures that empower autonomous driving capabilities, elevate vehicle safety, and enhance the overall driving experience. This role requires a deep understanding of software development, automotive technologies, and a visionary approach to shaping the future of transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define ADAS system specifications, performance targets, and system interfaces.
- Develop high-level software architectures for ADAS applications, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and modularity.
- Lead ADAS architecture and electrical integration support in close collaboration with Electrical architecture and integration teams.
- Oversee the development of ADAS software modules, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, safety regulations, and technology roadmap development.
- Ensure ADAS software compliance with relevant automotive safety standards (ISO 26262) and industry regulations.
- Develop comprehensive testing procedures and protocols to validate ADAS software performance under various scenarios and conditions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and research advancements related to ADAS and autonomous driving.
- Support ADAS Function owners with functional definitions and systems design.
- Support the achievement of SW maturity levels and deadlines according to quality gates for all projects.
🛠 Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Requirements:
- A degree in engineering or a related/relevant subject (optional but advantageous).
- Proven experience in software architecture and development for automotive ADAS systems or related domains.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python, along with experience in embedded software development.
- Experience with L3/L4 ADAS systems and software development tools like Matlab/Simulink.
- Familiarity with tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, and diagnostic tools, as well as automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet) and ADAS-related standards (ASIL, ISO 26262).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, enabling clear and concise conveyance of complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
