Job Purpose:
This is a UK based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Logistics and Transportation working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.
We have an amazing opportunity for our client within the Rail/Construction sector in Birmingham , they are seeking for an IT Vendor Manager who will lead and be responsible for aligning vendor performance objectives and relationship management activities with business and commercial objectives and sourcing strategies. The role leads the management of IT Vendor performance, interacting with other related disciplines (e.g. procurement, commercial, legal) to ensure optimal supplier performance.
Skills:
- Continual service improvement – Ability to analyse current processes, identify and implement opportunities to optimise processes, and lead and develop a team of experts to deliver service improvements.
- Stakeholder Management – Ability to build and manage strong relationships, as well as influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Conflict resolution – Ability to network and negotiate with suppliers and other stakeholders, to resolve conflicts.
- Service reporting – Ability to effectively use data analytics to showcase business performance.
- Policy Advice. Ability to define policies, providing guidance to others on working in the strategic context.
- Innovation – Ability to drive an innovative culture, working with vendors to co-create value across the integrated supply chain.
- Measurement – Ability to measure vendor performance and align to with business and commercial objectives and sourcing strategies.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of policy, legislative, regulatory, and operational constraints, adapting technology where needed.
- Knowledge of procurement frameworks, issues, risks, governance, compliance, and assurance.
- Knowledge of vendor performance measurement frameworks and processes
- Understanding of the product environment, and its impact on supplier contract management.
- Some knowledge of the industry and functional areas.
Type of experience:
- Experience of using IT frameworks and procedures.
- Experience of commercial, partner, vendor, or supplier management where governance, quality and compliance criteria has been met.
- Experience working in complex IT supplier eco-systems, within a fast-paced major infrastructure programme with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience of collaboration and co-innovation with global IT vendors to drive service improvements.
