Job description: Grafton Banks Finance is currently looking for an ambitious and qualified Head of Group Accounting to join a private equity backed and fast-growing business, with offices in Hertfordshire. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role requires an enthusiastic individual to take responsibility for the Group Accounting team, overseeing the group consolidations, management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for a small team of people producing financial and monthly management accounts.
- Maintain the systems and processes for producing the management accounts for Board Meetings.
- Review and improve accounting and reporting processes and systems.
- Interpret the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow to give insight on performance of the business.
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are produced and reviewed each month.
- Quarterly or monthly VAT reporting and other compliance issues.
- Tracking of asset finance agreements and revolving credit facility.
- Support the year-end audit.

Expected salary: £70000 – 85000 per year
