Job description: 1508583Academic Appointments are currently working with a secondary school in Harrogate who are looking to recruit a part time administrator to start as soon as possible.This is a school, based in Harrogate, where Leaders have developed an ambitious curriculum, including for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Leaders have identified the important knowledge that they want pupils to know and remember. When designing the curriculum, leaders have ensured that new content connects to what pupils already know.Requirements:

  • Previous school admin experience is essential for this role.
  • Experience using school MIS system. (SIMS, ARBOR).
  • Strong IT skills.

The successful candidate will be supporting the school for an initial period of 4-6 weeks, with a view to being extended for a longer period. The working hours for this role will be 9:00 – 15:00 for three days a week.The role will involve

  • Covering the reception desk during break and lunch times, and greeting visitors.
  • Taking phone calls and answering any queries in a professional manner.
  • Supporting students with any uniform requests.
  • Managing the pupil premium school uniform, ensuring it is washed on a daily basis.
  • Calling parents to pass on information when necessary.
  • Supporting teaching staff with the preparation of resources when required.
  • Any other general office duties.
