Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Qualified Accounting ManagerCambridgeHub and HybridWe have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance team based in Cambridge and be responsible for the month end close, and statutory reporting of Illumina entities within the EMEA region.This role is based in Cambridge and will be hub and hybrid with the expectation of 1 to 2 days a week in the Cambridge Illumina Centre office.Illumina’s employee benefits are industry-leading and include, flexible time off, private medical insurance, compassion and care time off, leisure travel insurance, pension, employee stock purchasing program, volunteer time off, and much more!Why usAs Accounting manager of a team of Analysts you will be managing the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures.You will be designing operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency, whilst participating in annual audits and special projects.You will work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes.This role ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue, ensuring integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts.Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs and other related duties may be assigned.Scope of Responsibilities:Receives objective-based assignments.Determines resources needed to meet goals and deliver tactical results and provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).Works on assignments of diverse scope where problem solving requires the analysis of data and a variety of relevant factors.Erroneous decisions may cause delay in accomplishing short-term and/or annual goals.Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group professionals.Leads cooperative efforts with stakeholders outside own area of expertise.Interactions require effective communication and presentation of results/recommendations.Manages the coordination of activities for a discipline or department.Guides team and is responsible for results, including budgets, methods, and staffing.Oversees professionals and may be responsible for subordinate supervisors.In some instances, may be responsible for a functional area and not have any subordinate employees.Why youWe are looking for a suitably experienced accounting qualified candidate who can effectively lead, manage and develop our team of Analysts and accounting processes.You’ll be part of a growing team supporting our Europe and AMEA regions, building relationships and understanding financial regulations throughout our entities.
