Job description: Position: Food Technology TeacherLocation: West LancashireStart date: April 2024An Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in West Lancashire are seeking a Teacher of Food Technology to join their staffing team. They are ideally seeking a Teacher who is available with availability from 15th April 2025, and who can commit to a long-term, full-time role.You will join a skilful and resourceful staffing team who dedicate their time and resources to ensuring students of all learning abilities reach their maximum potential. You will be confident in teaching students of all learning abilities, and you will ensure all students are inclusive of all classroom activity. You will be able to plan and prepare engaging and interactive lessons, and you will create a positive and happy learning environment.The ideal candidate will:
- Provide excellent learning opportunities and engage our pupils
- Be able to inspire confidence in meeting the needs of our pupils
- Be highly motivated and will contribute to team working and team building
- Be able to take advantage of the professional learning opportunities we can offer
- Be able to teach outstanding lessons
Key Skills required:
- Ability to teach DT – Food Technology to KS4
- Happy to teach other areas of DT to KS3
- Passionate and enthusiastic about the subject
- Superb communication skills
- Ability to engage and interact with pupils
- Good behaviour management
- PGCE/PGDE or equivalent
