Working with a busy and rapidly expanding manufacturer, my client based on the outskirts of (Reading) are looking to recruit a Night Warehouse Manager on a full-time permanent basis working Sunday-Thursday 40 hours per week 22:00-07:00
This is a fast-paced Warehouse Manager position where you will be responsible for organising and managing the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of materials in compliance with company H&S Policies, managing a small team as well as actively leading by example and being hands on within the warehouse.
Please note: The company is based on the outskirts of Reading so own transport is essential
Salary & Benefits:
- £40-45k per annum DOE
- Sunday-Thursday 22:00-07:00
- 20 days holiday + Bank holidays
- Free parking
Duties:
- Organising and managing the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of materials in compliance with company H&S Policies
- Efficient layout of racking and ensuring efficient space utilisation of stored goods
- Overseeing branch cycle counting and stock audits
- Coach, manage and develop warehouse staff and team leaders to optimise performance and meet key targets/deadlines as well as actively involved in recruitment
- Managing Warehouse team and drivers to load and unload materials in a timely fashion
- Ensuring that vehicles, machinery and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose
- Managing rotas, supervising and appraising staff.
- An ability to understand and learn different machinery to enable cutting and lifting of materials
Ideal Candidate
- Experience with managing teams in a logistics/manufacturing environment
- Experienced in stock movement, goods in and out/warehouse.
- General office and administration skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and liaise with different departments
