Location: Bromley Civic CentreSalary: (PT5) £56,478 to £65,000 pa dependant on experienceThis is a fantastic opportunity to be part of highly motivated and fast paced IT technology solutions team.We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join Bromley Council’s Digital & IT Services team as we continue to support the delivery of the Council’s ambitious “Making Bromley Even Better” programme to make Bromley: a fantastic place to live and work, where everyone can lead healthy, safe and independent lives. The future is exciting with a move to a new head office, move to the cloud and the acceleration of the Digitisation of service delivery.As a Senior Solutions Architect, you’ll help us shape this landscape, finding innovative solutions to the business challenges and playing an active role in the wider Architecture community as we shape our future design patterns and standards to support our IT strategy and emerging Digital strategy.Ideally you’ll have specialist knowledge in cloud infrastructure or server/network infrastructure or application and data and have experience formulating solutions across COTS and in-house developed applications, and across Cloud solutions and hybrid Cloud / On-Prem architectureYou will be responsible for:· Preparing high level solutions as well as detailed solution designs to address business requirements. Taking the lead on cross platform solution designs.· Participating in Architecture Round Table discussions to identify high level solution option(s) for new business demand.· Ensuring all solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture principles and IT strategy.Supporting our IT managed service providers’ engineers to deliver designs, providing advice and guidance regarding the solution design and the engineering solutions.· Acting as Subject Matter Expert within the group for areas of expertiseIf you are interested in applying for this post, within the Personal Statement section of your application, please clearly outline what experience you have and how you would meet the Person Specification for the role.
