Job description: Posted 14 hours ago | ref: 276779Job Title: Curriculum Lead- Travel, Tourism and Aviation OpsLocation:North West England, Merseyside, BirkenheadJob Type:Contract/intrim/perm, expected to work Full-Time hours 35 hours a week.To lead the design, development and delivery of high-quality education and training for learners that provides clear progression routes and positive destination for the area of work of Leisure, Travel and Tourism.This will include leading on innovative and outstanding teaching within the curriculum area and leading on setting and monitoring and reporting on college targets. For this role there will normally be 21 hours teaching per week.
- To assist the College Manager of your area in the strategic development of a curriculum for the area including the setting and achievement of departmental targets and key objectives.
- To assist the College Manager of your area in the implementation the Education Inspection Framework, the College’s quality and business planning cycles, and to ensure that effective selfassessment and course evaluation are conducted within the curriculum area.
- To manage performance of the area to drive and continuously improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment through the effective development of the staff team, including the engagement of employers to ensure the provision reflects the needs of industry, as well as qualification led requirements.
About You
- Degree or equivalent suitable vocational or professional qualification and experience in a subject discipline related to the area of responsibility.
- Full recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience of leading staff teams successfully.
