We are a team of passionate people motivated by agility, innovation and continuous improvement.The Kyriba organization is seeking a senior experienced accounting leader responsible for the compliance of the EMEA & APAC legal entities with regards to local statutory financial statements and audits, tax regulations, and payroll compliance. As a leader within the finance organization, this position sets an example of delivering high-quality service to stakeholders and employees. The position works closely with Kyriba’s multiple locations around the globe, and several external CPA firms.The EMEA & APAC Controller will partner with Director Finance Operations and the CFO to oversee local accounting functions of Kyriba with oversight of the EMEA & APAC accounting team. The right candidate is comfortable breaking down roadblocks, seeks scalable solutions, and will join the team in “rolling up their sleeves” when necessary. Hands-on approach to coaching and mentoring staff will be critical to this position. International experience is required as Kyriba is a high growth company with an international footprint. Ability, willingness, and comfort to work in a high growth PE-owned SaaS company where scope of work encompasses multiple time zones.Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage direct reports and their supporting teams locally across multiple time zones.
  • Responsible for local statutory financial statements, audits, tax, revenue and payroll compliance.
  • Be the ultimate owner and steward of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements for EMEA & APAC legal entities.
  • Contribute to the global compliance calendar and directly own the completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of EMEA & APAC statutory entity deliverables to ensure proper compliance. Report on completed items, issues and resolutions timely to the finance leadership.
  • Work with the team to deliver ongoing improvements to the month-end close process.
  • Implement and maintain an appropriate internal control environment.
  • Assess insourced vs outsourced accounting services for the EMEA & APAC entities, developing improvements in outsourced models.
  • Present local financial statements to the Director Finance Operations and CFO with an eye on explaining trends, variances.
  • Provide guidance, prepare, control, and review local GAAP and US GAAP statutory financial statement adjustments.
  • Work with tax to ensure preparation, control, review and sign off on all EMEA & APAC legal entity tax filings and declarations.
  • Manage the local statutory audit engagements, provide support and report on the results of the audit.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, control, and review intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with transfer price agreements.
  • Model a continuous improvement model where process improvements are a regular occurrence.
  • Ensure policies keep pace with the needs of the business.
  • Ensure process narratives, desktop procedures and backup / disaster recovery plans are up to date for the EMEA & APAC entities.
  • Review, adjust and manage objectives and goals for the team based on key metrics.
  • Develop, mentor, assess, hire and onboard team members in accordance with career development plans and Company needs.
  • Manage complex transactions within the EMEA & APAC legal entities as needed.
  • Conduct formal performance reviews with stakeholders and act on feedback received.
  • Work cross-functionally and in an international environment to complete projects as assigned, and to improve routine processes.
  • Assess, articulate and quantify potential financial, regulatory and operational risks associated with business growth and accounting processes.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in business, finance, accounting, economics or related is required.
  • Minimum 8 years of accounting experience blend of public/private accounting experience preferred.
  • A high level of integrity and ability to enforce standards while handling sensitive matters in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Self-starter with the capability to lead a team and proactively manage to tight deadlines.
  • Well poised and exhibit strong communications skills interacting with all levels of the executive leadership team.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Detail oriented and driven to meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • French speaking is a plus.
