Job description: ECI Group, the world’s leading specialist engineering contractor for low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) projects is looking for a Business Support|Human Resources Manager to join our team in our Manchester UK office. YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:

  • This position reports directly to the Head of Human Resources and the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Oversees company administrative operations in the Manchester Office to help keep the business operations running smoothly.
  • Maintain effective relationships with management team, staff and benefit providers so as to ensure open communication on all aspects of people management.
  • Establish good working relationships with team members. Help promote a team environment of mutual respect with open communication.
  • Provide information to Corporate HR initiatives and policies.
  • Oversee for HR in the Manchester Office, including, creating and updating policies, payrolling, pension processing, training requirements, compliance to Company policies and assisting in ensuring compliance to relevant UK legislation.
  • Support Managers and employees by providing best practice advice and guidance on employee relations, benefits, policy and employment law issues.
  • Administer and maintain compensation and benefits programs including medical and life insurance.
  • Assist in increasing employee awareness of and compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage the Performance and Development Review process to ensure timely execution and completion.
  • Maintain up to date employee HR systems including records and information.
  • Oversee and organize training and development activities.
  • Support HR recruitment and onboarding activities including:
  • Preparation of offer letters
  • Onboard of new team members
  • Preparation of Visa Paperwork
  • Level 1 User for UKVI
  • Compile HR management reports and statistics as required.
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of daily business operations by managing tasks such as handling correspondence, maintaining records, organizing meetings, and coordinating schedules.
  • General administration, including deliveries, filing, post, emails, typing correspondence as needed.
  • Assist in travel arrangements and expense reporting for team members. Ensure all travel is cost effective and follows company procedure.
  • Arranging lunches and conference room bookings.
  • Ensure a welcoming and professional reception for visitors and clients.
  • Assist with basic financial tasks such as invoicing and expense tracking.
  • Provide administrative support to the general office and Engineering departments within the Manchester Office.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers.
  • Creating, editing and reformatting documentation in word, excel, powerpoint.
  • Taking minutes of meetings.
  • Undertaking ad hoc duties as needed.
  • Maintain effective relationships with other departments and Management.
  • Provide an effective and value-adding service across all levels within the Company.
  • Responsible for Facilities for the Manchester Office
  • Ensure that the Company’s buildings are:
  • Safe
  • Clean; and
  • Maintained to acceptable standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory testing of services and utilities.
  • Ensure the fire safety system is maintained and kept up to date.
  • Ensure adequate first aid response within the building.
  • Ensure that the building is secure and that our commercially sensitive information is adequately stored and maintained.
  • Manage the layout and occupancy of the building to ensure maximum efficiency of personnel whilst seeking to reduce the Company’s fixed overheads.
  • Efficiently manage the company’s rental properties
  • Procurement of advertising / marketing materials for the Business Development department
  • Procurement of translation and Interpretation Services
  • Procurement of equipment in collaboration with IT Manager
  • Provision of print services in collaboration with IT Manager
  • Supervise and assist in the production of proposals and presentations utilizing appropriate applications and digital print equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • 5+ years previous experience of working in Human Resources and office administration.
  • Knowledgeable on GDPR compliance.
  • Good command of MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Extremely organized.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • A proactive team member.
  • Must be a UK resident.
