Job description: We are seeking a Payments & Allocations Officer to joint our district’s markets teamThere has never been a more exciting time to join the team at Wakefield District Markets.We’ve been working to deliver physical improvements with the Council investing almost £6.5m to refurbish and transform our markets. We’ve also introduced a new and exciting events programme and launched a new identity for markets. All this hard work is seeing renewed interest from shoppers and market traders who want to be involved in part of our plans to deliver a modern, vibrant, and sustainable markets service.Due to promotion, we are now looking for someone to join the markets business team who together are responsible for markets administration including trader recruitment, records management, income collection, events organisation and responding to enquiries from members of the public and traders.It is essential that you have a working knowledge of financial/administrative systems and procedures and possess strong ICT skills with previous experience of using databases for storing confidential data.
