Main Purpose:

  • The efficient, profitable and safety conscious management of all contracts and

projects delegated to them by the Contracts Manager from inception through toand including hand over.To conduct themselves in a manner to promote the positive image of the company with a view to securing future enquiries and orders.To be professional at all times in conduct and approach. To participate ina team and offer flexibility when business needs demand and offer assistance &

  • encouragement to other team members wherever possible.
  • To oversee all daily management aspects of a project from start to completion.
  • Ensuring that the works are completed on time, to a high-quality standard and
  • within budget. To maintain site cleanliness, health & safety and to add value to
  • the construction process by general proactive involvement. To look ahead, plan
  • and coordinate the supply of materials, the works of tradesmen and
  • subcontractors. To manage site safety, quality, logistics and to keep excellent
  • site records. Ensuring that works are well planned, coordinated and client
  • wishes, and variations are carried out in an efficient and timely fashion. Ensure
  • that projects are handed over with a high quality of finish and defect free.

Job Description: * To liaise with and communicate fully with the Contracts Manager on all site-based aspects of the project.

  • Formulate the construction programme using agreed software such as Asta Projects or suitable equivalent.
  • Update Project Programme & short-term programmes using the correct software & issue weekly or as agreed, to the CM or Director.
  • To take advantage of opportunities to develop oneself & others
  • Responsible for the production of the Construction Phase Plans and be responsible for its availability on site.
  • Check and update as required and ensure it is kept up to date at all times.
  • To liaise directly with Clients and Contractors to ensure efficient control of all project aspects and ensure that service and quality expectations are being achieved.
  • To maintain Request for Information Schedule (RFI) using ‘Sharepoint’.
  • To raise RFI’s, close them down and chase outstanding RFI’s in a timely manner.
  • Issue subcontractor’s SSI’s (subcontract site instructions) effectively and in a timely manner
  • To issue subcontractors notice to commence in line and as set out with main contract and subcontract requirements
  • Responsible for Set up and secure the site including:
  • Welfare.
  • Office accommodation.
  • Power and water including taking any relevant meter readings.
  • Logistics.
  • Hoardings and site security.
  • Signage
  • Internet & Wi-Fi facilities
  • To ensure the issue and re-issue of all required PPE equipment as detailed under the terms of their contract
  • To ensure that the site-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statements have been read and understood by all Operatives on all contracts.
  • To ensure records have been maintained onsite
  • Plan, coordinate, look ahead and manage all aspects of the construction process.
