Job description: We are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. This role requires a strong understanding of month end duties, finance management, and financial analysis.The role will involve supporting the Finance Manager, with duties including:
- Production of monthly management accounts and customer invoices within agreed timescales
- Review, validate and then process accounts, to include purchase invoices, stock values, accruals and prepayments, and cash reconciliations
- Review trading accounts and provide variance analysis and commentary
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned contracts
- Assist with annual budget preparation
- Occasionally attend sites to perform routine stock and cash audits
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and unit managers to resolve queries
- Assist with weekly payment runs
- Provide support and cover for other members of the finance team as necessary
A varied accounting position within a friendly finance team in Thame|Impressive national business continuing to growA successful Management Accountant should have:
- Strong previous experience within a management accounting position
- Be an ACCA/CIMA studier, looking to qualify over the coming years
- Good knowledge of Excel and accounting systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach to work
- Quick thinking with good attention to detail
- Good team working skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good work ethic, reliable and punctual
- Ability to use own initiative
- Comfortable commuting to the office in Thame
