More information is available on our Career site at .Job DetailsFife Council Procurement has recently undergone a period of significant change and is a professional, corporate service within Fife Council that aims to deliver maximum value for money, whilst contributing to Fife Council’s wider corporate objective, such as helping to address the Climate Emergency, to drive social inclusion and to contribute to Scotland’s green economic recovery.While this is a generic role you will be based in the Construction Category team (depending on skills and experience). All candidates are requested to review the role profile and seek to demonstrate how they would bring their own skills to the role.The post-holder will support various aspects of procurement activity such as (but not limited to): tendering, contract management, market engagement, collation of reporting information and system update/housekeeping.The PersonThe successful candidate will be educated to SVQ2 level, National Certificate or Higher Grade level.We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills, both oral and written, as well as competent persuading and listening skills, and to be able to confidently communicate with a range of people at all levels.You should be able to demonstrate effective organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.The jobholder should be able to demonstrate the ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and have an ability to work flexibly within the teams when required.Further Information
