It allows farmers to maximise their crop yield, increase quality and improve soil structure with one simple product.Job DescriptionJoin us as a Logistics & Goods Receipt Verification (GRV) Officer where you will provide support with the implementation of logistics & performance continuous improvement initiatives through ensuring that the delivery documents of all goods and services received are correctly captured on the SAP ERP system.Your duties will include:

  • Adhere to the relevant Supply Chain strategy and ensure that critical tasks, performance targets, plans and budgets are adhered to with due consideration of risk identification
  • Embrace an agile supply chain by being adaptive and flexible to accommodate and focus on emerging and changing business priorities
  • Support on technology and innovative practices and services though cross-functional collaboration across the region that supports business strategy, operational and safety improvements
  • Support for team to collect, consolidate, analyse and monitor (Outstanding GRV’s)
  • Assist with monitoring supplier performance analysis (OTIF (on-time in full), lead times variability etc.) to prioritise low performing suppliers and support the supplier performance team to address these
  • Support operational teams in delivering on businesses objectives
  • Query resolution with end-users and suppliers with regards to variances between system and documents received
  • Promote and support physical supply chain optimization to reduce transportation frequency thereby positively impacting Anglo American’s carbon footprint
  • Maintain constructive partnerships with operational areas – materials planning, warehousing and transport
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with other functional areas on which physical supply chain depend – IM, CoE, supply chain managers, category managers, purchasing, etc.
  • Integrate with warehousing and transport operations on 3PL performance and improvement areas
  • Encourage and participate in cross-functional engagements to support optimum physical supply chain practices
  • Ensure the safe operation of the physical supply chain environment, through tracking, monitoring, and reporting of SHEQ schedule and key tasks
  • Comply with relevant policies and standards and particularly the Contractor Performance Management policy & procedures to enable achievement of gold-standard contractor safety performance
  • Support cross functional team interactions with internal stakeholders to execute logistics activities
  • Support team with Finance, Purchasing, IM, compliance requests

QualificationsAn undergraduate qualification – bachelor’s degree level or equivalent, alternatively relevant tertiary qualification and proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexityKnowledge and experience required:

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain management and interdependencies within a regional context (The Supply Chain discipline with specific reference to Logistics operations)​
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing policies, standards, reporting, SLAs, KPIs & procedures
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, e.g., SAP (essential), SAP Ariba (advantage)
  • Data collection, consolidation, analysis, and reporting
