Learn more at .Job DescriptionThis position is based within the main European Distribution Centre, shipping products to customers across Europe, Middle East and Africa.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Manage day to day operations within the warehouse function
  • Manage the warehouse team by ongoing coaching and appraisal
  • Direct workloads across the team to ensure all work is prioritised and completed in a timely manner
  • Supervising picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch (UK & Export)
  • Supervising the preparation of necessary dispatch paperwork (UK & Export)
  • Understanding of Import and Export procedures to ensure correct paperwork is supplied with goods
  • Working with transport companies to ensure a smooth goods in and out processes
  • Working with Oracle order management system to release stock and generate necessary paperwork
  • Responsible for Inventory/stock control
  • Liaison with Customer Service and Sales teams to respond to queries and keep teams informed of progress
  • Customisation of shipments according to customer specific requirements, including the construction of custom-made retail packs
  • Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes that influence flexibility, reliability to the customers including new supply chain module
  • Drive and monitor Health & Safety process and policies throughout the warehouse environment
  • Drive 5S and good housekeeping within the warehouse function

Qualifications

  • Relevant warehousing experience of leading a team
  • Current forklift truck licence preferred
  • Computer Literate – must be confident using computer applications, however training will be given on in-house systems
  • Team player – must enjoy working in a team environment, with the ability to liaise with other members of the team to get a task done
  • Flexible – able to adapt to a constantly changing environment and willing to take on additional or alternative tasks as required
  • Initiative – can identify where improvements could be made, able to implement improved working practices
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience of import and export shipping would be preferred
