Job description: Hybrid x2 a week in LeedsTeam:The Technology team is a core part of the Cox Automotive business, supporting a wide variety of applications and also supporting on a wide variety of projects that are directly driving business strategy. The programme contains varied projects at any one time varying in scale from small change activity to projects running over multiple years with multi-million-pound budgets.Role:This is an essential role in within the Asset & Configuration Management function.The holder of this role will take full ownership of all data that contributes to the successful running of the function.The role incorporates the responsibility for the management of data that is fed from several sources into a federated CMDB & Asset repository.This role is primarily based at our Leeds Office location but is flexible allowing for working from home occasionally.Working Monday-Friday 37.5 hours.Occasional travel may be required; therefore, a UK driver’s license is desirable, although not mandatory.The core activities of this role include:
- Managing [ServiceNow] asset, location, model, category, contract, finance, and CI data, including creation, updates, and deletions.
- Managing users and user roles.
- Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with Finance, Technical & HR functions as and when necessary.
- Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.
- Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
- Helping develop periodic and ad-hoc reports and analysis to suit changing business requirements.
- Supporting initiatives for audit, data integrity and normalization.
- Assessing & testing system upgrades and assisting with strategic decisions on new system requirements.
- Training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
- Troubleshooting of business queries aligned to accuracy of internal finance recharge.
Skills & Experience:Demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Developing processes and related documentation
- Good understanding of Windows Operating systems, namely Windows 10
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills for the analysis and manipulation of disparate data sets.
- Ability to work under pressure meeting tight deadlines whilst demonstrating drive and a positive approach to work.
- A methodical and tenacious approach to data management, accuracy, and troubleshooting, identifying, and rectifying any inaccuracies found in a timely and efficient manner.
- Experience and understanding of Asset Management repositories, Configuration Management Databases (CMDB’s) and the categories and requirements of data contained within each
- Self-motivated, results and quality orientated, good organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, positive helpful attitude
Qualifications:
- ITIL Foundation advantageous but not essential
- The ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel data manipulation is extremely desirable
- Competence & confidence with web-based technologies & online databases is also extremely desirable.
