Job description: We have an exciting opportunity to join our client, an established market leader in the professional communications industry, who, due to recent success and growth, is looking for a target-driven Sales Manager to join its growing team to help support sales activities for its portfolio of products in the UK. The role holder must also be able to demonstrate successful channel sales management within the professional communications industry. As the role is hybrid, you can be located anywhere in the UK, however, you must be able to attend meetings at the company’s head office in Slough and travel nationwide as reasonably required.
Salary: £45k – £50k per annum plus competitive commission scheme.
Benefits include: 25 days’ holiday, pension, private healthcare.
Location: Hybrid, must be able to travel frequently and attend meetings at the Slough office.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, onboard, and manage a network of resellers and distributors.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
- Provide guidance and support to channel partners, assisting them in achieving sales goals and enhancing their product knowledge.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities, market trends, and competitive activities, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop effective channel marketing campaigns, promotions, and events.
- Monitor sales performance, track market trends, and produce regular sales reports for management review.
- Negotiate and finalise channel partner agreements, ensuring terms are in line with company policies and objectives.
- Drive demand generation initiatives, including product training, workshops, and seminars for channel partners and end-users.
- Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and competitive landscape.
- Represent the company at major industry events, conferences, tradeshows, and tender bidding processes.
What you need to apply:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent level of work experience.
- Proven track record of successful channel sales management, ideally within the communications technology industry.
- Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse market data.
- Self-driven with a result-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office/
- Fluency in English essential.
- Ability to travel frequently within the UK and Europe.
