Working alongside the entire Sales team and being often the first point of contact for our external customers, in this key administrative support role, you’ll be completing a range of duties ensuring first class customer service is delivered, queries answered or raised, orders placed, data sourced and helping our customers’ requirements get made.Part of a business that connects and protects people around the world and in space, you’ll be working with all of our departments. Full training is given, so you don’t need to have worked in a Sales environment previously or have technical knowledge, but it would be advantageous. It is essential that you have the ability to complete the responsibilities below. Every day will be busy and different, and your responsibilities will vary from:
- Responding to customer’s sales queries by phone and email, ensuring requirements are fully understood.
- Logging enquiries, processing quotes and converting to orders.
- Obtaining End use Statements from customers.
- Collecting and assessing information including costing proposals.
- Preparing and issuing technical specifications, proposals and quotations.
To be successful, you have:
- A passion for accurate, timely administration and associated IT skills.
- Have worked in a customer focussed, results orientated environment, ideally in engineering or manufacturing.
- Be confident to speak by phone, in person and writing to internal and external customers, developing and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Have excellent personal organisation and time management skills.
