Job title: Temporary Technical Insurance Accounting Clerk

Job description: Temporary Technical Insurance Accounting specialist required by leading global insurance business.Initially for a 6-month day rate contract although likely to extend possibly even permanently.
You will ideally have some insurance experience although specific technical training will be provided.
Must be available to start immediately.

  • Responsible for assisting technical processing functions ILU/LIRMA for Inwards Facultative insurance produced by UK for all lines of business, Property, Casualty, Engineering, Cargo, Aviation, Parametric & Fine Art
  • Assisting an offshore team, ensuring the right level of support is received to complete activities on time.
  • Delegating activities to offshore team and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
  • Understanding IPT and Freedom of Service tax and being able to allocate premium per country taxes for processing, understanding of Direct and Indirect.
  • Liaise with Brokers and Co-insureds to resolve queries related to receipt of Bordereaux, Invoices and Fee processing, Data Quality etc.
  • Develop a rapport with offshore counterparts to allow for smooth completion of work.
  • Liaise with Brokers to resolve unclosed risks and chase and outstanding business.
  • Work closely with Credit control & Operations team to assure consistent data quality and fast clearance of premium.
  • Processing Of Outwards Re-insurance and retro business for Proportional and non-proportional re-insurance with some Treaty elements.

Expected salary: £100 – 150 per day
