My Public Sector Client is looking for a temporary worker to join their team as an Admin Officer. This is a temporary role until March 2024. It is highly likely this role will be extended and will be temporary ongoing.
The role is 37 hours a week, working Mon – Fri, 8am – 4pm / 9am – 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break. The pay rate is £11.88 an hour, paid on a weekly basis.
This role is currently hybrid in Birmingham City Centre..
This client is hiring for multiple departments, so the duties may vary slightly. Your day to day duties may include:
- opening mail
- sorting and filing mail
- Scanning documents
- taking mail to the correct department
- data entry on Microsoft office (word, excel) and inhouse systems
- updating on case progress
- using Microsoft Outlook to correspond with people internally and externally
Person Specification
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above or Functional Skills level 2
- At least 6 months admin experience
- Experience of Microsoft Office applications
- Able to use Microsoft Teams
Please note you will be required to carry out manual handling tasks – lifting and carrying box files etc.
If you are successful, the role is subject to a Standard DBS check and 3 years referencing history.
