Business Development Manager required for a catering & food equipment manufacturer based in Reading. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role within the food equipment industry. The role will be to identify, target and sell Equipment. You will have contacts with Dealers, End Users, National Accounts.

Business Development Manager – Food Equipment Position Overview

The main purpose is to achieve annual sales turnover. The key priorities will be to: * Execute the agreed sales strategies (under separate cover) for equipment sales , focusing on the brand

  • Manage and optimise the sales network in the designated geographical territory of the UK Ireland and Europe
  • Develop the territory for growth in sales and profit
  • Achieve the annual agreed (calendar) budget as a minimum
  • Follow company policies in all areas of responsibility. Be aware and able to fulfil the company Mission & Strategy
  • Support (and grow where appropriate) the existing dealer network in the territory and work with them to specify company products and secure arising orders
  • Draw up and implement an agreed sales plan for existing and new business for a rolling 12-month period
  • Focus on existing and new national accounts to secure specifications as a source for new business generation
  • Implement a forecast for Equipment sales and new business
  • Implement an Effective sales & territory planning
  • Report to Director on the latest market situation, network status and market requirement through monthly reports and regular ad-hoc communication
  • An agreed set of KPI’s for Sales of equipment a UK Based

Business Development Manager – Food Equipment Position Requirements

  • Proven, relevant work sales and forecasting experience
  • Understanding Quick service Industry design and restaurant planning
  • Self-motivated, focused, enthusiastic, target orientated, results driven
  • Flexible and hands-on mentality, team player
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organisational, planning, reporting and time management skills

Business Development Manager – Food Equipment Position Remuneration

Salary levels likely the below

Salary initial 6 months likely circa £35k

7-18 months salary 40k (OTE £41k)

Year 2 salary £50k (OTE £61k)

Year 3 salary £55k (OTE £82k)

Car Allowance of £3600p/a
