Job description: Warehouse Operative/Team Leader£24,000- £26000 + BonusMonday to Friday 9.30am- 18.00pm -37.5 hours a weekWe are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative /Team Leader to work as part of our client’s operations team in Watford. As the Warehouse Operative/Team Leader you will report to the Warehouse Manager and will be responsible for co-ordinating the warehouse operation. This is a great development opportunity for any employee who is interested in getting into a career in Warehouse management and enjoys the added responsibilities and challenges of managing a team and ensuring that work is completed to a high standard within certain timescale.Warehouse Operative/Team Leader dutiesThe focus of the role is to ensure all orders are picked accurately, packed, and despatched on time following strict standards and processes, and deal with issues that arise from the orders. The successful candidate will also review and update current procedures and any other roles and responsibilities as instructed by the Warehouse Management. Supervision of temporary staff, as the successful candidate will be required to deliver staff training and provide performance feedback. To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone who has the following attributes and skills:Warehouse Operative/Team Leader experience and skills
- At least 2 years in a similar leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Leadership skills -excellent people skills and can lead by example.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
- Creating a productive work environment for the team
- Assisting with training employees
- Supporting the team with daily workloads
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
- Proficient in using a warehouse management system.
