Working with us means working with the latest technologies and groundbreaking, sustainable innovations.Join us on our journey for a better tomorrow.Marketing Communications Assistant – Year In IndustryFrom day one you will become involved in a wide variety of different marketing communications tactics and channels, on and offline, to increase trust in the Atlas Copco brand and its subsidiaries and help generate sales leads. The job will involve coordinating exhibition stands and PR content, publishing website content and scheduling social media posts, making internal communications announcements, dealing with department administration, as well as supporting with other marketing collateral and projects. The role is a great foundation in marketing communications, where you will gain a broad work experience. Year in Industry (This is an undergraduate role)The role:
- Exhibitions and events: You will be coordinating Atlas Copco Compressors’ presence at exhibitions, events and regional seminars, with the goal to showcase our products and services in the most attractive way. In a year we have approximately three exhibitions and a few smaller conferences, across various industry sectors.
- Supporting the Process Cooling Solutions business line’s marketing campaigns including creating and publishing content on social media, making updates to the website and creating marketing collateral, under two brands.
- Internal communications: You will be making internal communications posts, as well as assisting other employees in using our internal communications platform.
- Marketing inductions: Presenting the marketing induction to new starters will be a great way to get to know our processes and people.
- PR administration: Following the PR content plan, you will attend monthly meetings with the Marketing & Communications Manager and the PR agency and assist with the day-to-day coordination of the company’s PR content.
- Department administration: Helping the department run smoothly by raising purchase orders and setting up new vendors, ordering and distributing giveaways, and keeping the marketing cupboards tidy; supplier liaison and ad hoc project support for the Marketing & Communications team, as required.
- Handover: Throughout your placement you will be expected to keep a handover document up to date to pass on knowledge to the next year’s student, as well as training them during a handover period to take over from you and ensure continuity in the department.
To succeed, you will need:
- Undertaking an undergraduate degree, ideally involving one of the following areas: Marketing, Advertising, Events or Business with a clear interest in following a career in marketing communications, though other degrees will be considered.
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills, preferably having been involved in organising an event of some kind.
- Proficient in using social media platforms and with an understanding of what makes target audiences engage with online content.
- Excellent written English to produce and proof-read high quality content.
- Creative, accurate and with a good eye for detail.
- Be competent at working with a number of IT systems such as the Microsoft Office platform (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook) or with the ability to pick up and use new digital marketing tools & technologies easily.
- Be able to work well independently and as part of a team, as this role will involve working closely with colleagues in the Marketing and Communications teams, managers, and others in the company, as well as dealing with external suppliers and agencies.

Expected salary:
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
