  • You are dedicated to supporting your team members as they navigate the work and their careers. You understand that your number one job is to create an environment where they can be successful.
  • You’ve built and led teams, and you’re confident taking on teams you might not have built yourself.
  • You’ve managed managers, helping develop their skills and mentoring them as they develop as leaders.

You get totally geeked out about design systems from the pixels to plans…

  • You are constantly evolving your understanding of design systems and love being a thought-leader on the subject.
  • You know about front-end frameworks, agile development, the art of helping designers and engineers work hand-in-hand, the importance of the developer experience in the successful impact of a design system, and many other things you’ve learned from your experiences working closely with engineering teams.
  • You can advise teams on the micro-interactions of an atom and zoom out to see the patterns throughout the product.
  • You are data driven and able to show metrics for the quality and uptake of the design system while always striving for improvement.

You lead and encourage teams towards creating robust, useful, usable and evergreen experiences…

  • You are ready to take on the design leadership for ensuring we successfully design and deliver the NetSuite flavour of the Redwood design system.
  • You think systemically because you know that creating a coherent experience requires it. But you have the judgement to know when the system needs to expand to accommodate the user and the flexibility to support teams who are reaching for an arresting and product-defining moment in the product that makes users ooh and aah.
  • You oversee processes to understand needs from teams using the design system elements, across a variety of devices and areas, while weeding out unnecessary complexity.
  • You have a balanced focus on both the discovery and delivery of the design system, on longer term strategy and short term tactical operations.

You jump at the chance to apply your passion and experience in human-centered design to solving any challenge…

  • You help our team to integrate design thinking and human-centered design methods into our ways of working for extending and adapting a design system.
  • You are able to collaborate with and influence your product and engineering partners and other leaders across the product group to become increasingly user-centered in everything we do from strategies to roadmaps and planning.

Finally, you are excited to be part of creating dramatic and impactful change at a company that is committed to becoming an inspiration to others when it comes to user experience design.

  • You’re ready to work with the VP of Experience Design and the design leadership team in creating an environment at Oracle NetSuite where designers across the business are fulfilled in their work and powerful in their impact.
  • You are passionate about helping organizations understand and leverage design and become ever more user/customer-focused.
  • You are a role model for other designers with ambitions to have a seat at the table with other leaders and execs.
