The assigned area of responsibility will be managed to ensure compliance with legal requirements, and in accordance with established company policies and procedures. The selected candidate will provide leadership and direction to an Engineering work group to support safe and efficient nuclear power station operation.The successful candidate may be required to qualify for and be a member of the Emergency Response Organization. In addition to leadership of the selected work group, the successful candidate will perform other duties as requested or assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree plus seven years of experience in engineering or nuclear power, of which 2 years must be nuclear power plant experience (commercial, military, shipyard) OR 11 years of engineering experience in lieu of a degree or direct nuclear experience OR Minimum of 10+ years of engineering experience of which 2-4 shall be nuclear plant/nuclear systems experience (commercial, military, shipyard) with a SRO license or certification or STA.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experiences where you were assigned as project manager/leader responsible for all aspects of project scope, schedule and budget management with documented successful project performance results is recommended.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leads personnel to safely and efficiently execute work on-site, organize resources to achieve station goals, demonstrate high level of ownership for their responsibilities, persists through adversity, and follows through with commitments.
  • Acts with bias for action to challenge and correct behaviors and promote high standards of performance.
  • Demonstrate high integrity, safety, professionalism, and appropriate behavior driven results.
  • Proactively communicates information and decisions to personnel and station leaders in a manner that is honest, direct, and meaningful.
  • Demonstrates and promotes a clear bias for action to resolve issues while exhibiting sound judgment and conservative decision making.
  • Maintains appropriate oversight of his/her personnel and team members and acts promptly to provide direction when necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand a wide variety of topics and be sufficiently intrusive to ensure all work items under their area of responsibility are produced with the highest of quality including technical accuracy.
