Job description: Job Description:The Opportunity – ERP Applications AnalystWe are excited to be recruiting for an ERP Applications Analyst to join our busy IT Department. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire (hybrid).Role:Responsible for the provision, strategic organization, and oversight of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software applications. Charged with the deployment and ongoing upkeep of ERP software for Inspired Pet Nutrition. Accountable for discerning the company’s requirements, crafting tailored ERP solutions, and ensuring seamless integration of ERP applications with current infrastructure and other critical business systems.Responsibilities:
- Ascertain the requirements for the ERP system through consultations, analysis of business processes, and observations, in order to support the swiftly evolving needs of the business and its projects. This involves active engagement with end-users and heads of departments
- Lead in all aspects of ERP development, encompassing the design, execution, and roll-out essential for the company’s business initiatives
- Assess developed system performance and recommend improvements
- Assess developed systems security protocols and recommend improvements
- Provide training and support to ERP system users
- Troubleshoot and resolve any ERP related issues
- Implementation of new ERP modules and upgrades
- Develop and maintain documentation for ERP system processes.
- Analysis of data and generate reports to support decision-making
- Ensure data integrity and security within the ERP system
- Work with vendors to resolve any issues with the ERP software.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Vendor Relations: Managing interactions with ERP vendors to resolve software issues.
- Proven experience as an ERP analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of ERP software, preferably with certification in specific ERP platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train non-technical users on ERP systems.
- Experience with database management and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of business process improvement techniques.
