This is an exciting opportunity to join the Student Funding team, within the Finance department. Key responsibilities are to lead and manage the Student Funding Team and engage with departments and services across the University to forge closer links and collaborative working.

About the role

As the Student Relationship Manager, you will collaborate across the University to ensure we are offering relevant and supportive funding schemes that meet student demand, and with support from the team, deliver on all areas of the provision of student awards and funding schemes.

You will coordinate internal resources to deliver a professional and pro-active service for the University and will set clear objectives whilst overseeing the team’s workload, ensuring a high-quality student experience.

You will support the Head of Finance Services by deputising in their absence and working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Schools/Colleges and Professional Services to ensure appropriate service levels are agreed and achieved.

In addition, you will represent Finance and the University in Finance-related committees, working groups and user groups as relevant to the role.

About you

You will bring a positive attitude to the role and an eagerness to promote student funding and engagement with students. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to build strong client relationships, as well as having a proactive approach to customer service, excellent communication skills, and be able to support and promote funding schemes available.

You will show flexibility, initiative, and have a positive, customer-oriented mindset. Excellent collaboration skills, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Finance are essential.

Additional Information

This post is for 37 hours per week. Occasional weekend working will be required during the year for which appropriate conditions of service will apply.
