We are Residential Life; we oversee the Halls of Residence at the University of East London. We manage 1,169 bedrooms for students, casual lettings and summer conferencing guests ensuring all residents have an enjoyable stay with us. We are the first point of contact for all residents and prospective residents. Residential Life comprises of several areas including: Marketing and Events, Maintenance & Estates, Welfare, Allocations & Applications and Customer Service.
The newly created Events and Summer Conferencing Officer role will oversee the Living Learning Communities, the Residential Life Scholarship Programme and act as the main contact for our Summer Conferencing clients.
- Create a sector leading Living Learning Communities programme which engages residents, offering students opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.
- Develop and implement a Residential Life Scholarship programme or similar, which facilitates an inclusive, supportive, safe and engaged resident community.
- Lead on responding to enquiries from prospective Summer Conferencing clients.
- Liaise with relevant colleagues to ensure the Summer Conferencing clients requirements are met.
We are looking for someone with experience with organising events particularly for students or young people. You will need excellent customer engagement skills, and good organisational and time management.
You must have experience reaching objectives and goals and be committed to delivering outstanding customer service to all.
